Great Lakes Boat Transport
Great Lakes Boat Transport has been servicing the transport needs of power and sail boaters alike since 1979. The transport team is lead by President James M. Burt. Son Mike Burt and Buck make up the rest of the team. Our fleet consists of seven semis and four Brownell Hydraulic trailers, and one brand new 62ft. highway trailer, all with capacities to handle boats up to 55 feet in length.

Son of James Burt has a true passion for the boating industry with roots instilled in him as a child by his father.
John Lazore "Buck" (Left)
Buck has over 20 years of experience with Great Lakes Marine starting out in the fiberglass department. He repairs and maintains equipment for transport when not driving truck. Buck's specialization is in metal fabrication and maintenance. In his spare time he enjoys playing with RC models, camping and boating with his family.
Jim Burt (Center)
Currently we have 110,000 square feet of heated indoor storage with backup generators accommodating over 175 boats.
In addition to I-43 facility we have three new state of the art buildings north of Port Washington with three more approved to go up on our ten acre site.
We transport all types of boats from 10ft to 50ft across the Midwest, East Coast, and Florida.
Our experienced transport staff is capable of launching boats for spring and summer and haul outs for fall and winter.
The qualified technicians of Great Lakes are capable of sailboat rigging, running rigging, standing rigging, and lifelines.
